Sweet & Sustainable Youth Exchange
The Sweet & Sustainable youth exchange is a non-formal education project aimed at empowering young people with knowledge and motivation to become active citizens while addressing key societal issues.
Objectives:
- Promote sustainable development, focusing on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 9 and 11.
- Increase awareness about the environmental impact of mobility & logistics.
- Encourage sustainable transportation methods for goods and people.
- Foster an intercultural environment promoting diversity, equality, inclusion, and solidarity.
- Enhance artistic skills through urban regeneration projects.
Participants:
- 42 participants from 7 countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Slovenia, Spain).
- Each group: 5 participants (18-26 years old) + 1 group leader (18+ years old).
- Open to young people without expertise in sustainability or transportation, but eager to learn and engage.
- Priority for youth with fewer opportunities, such as those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Key Dates:
- Preparatory Visit: 15-18 March 2025
- Youth Exchange: 23 April - 2 May 2025
- Post-Exchange Dissemination Deadline: 31 May 2025
Activities:
- Before the exchange: Online meetings, research, and session preparation.
- During the exchange: Hands-on activities, discussions, urban renewal projects, outdoor experiences, intercultural evenings.
- After the exchange: Dissemination of knowledge via social media and local events.
Location & Logistics:
- Hosted in Fuscaldo, Italy, a coastal town with historical charm.
- Accommodation in shared Fuscaldo Apartments.
- Nearest airport: Lamezia Terme, with connections from Naples or Rome.
Travel & Reimbursement:
- Travel costs must be pre-approved by the coordinating organization, Paolab.
- Tickets must be booked directly from official airline and train company websites.
- Full participation in all activities is mandatory for reimbursement.
- Deadline to submit all documents: 31 May 2025.
